Description

A picture of my younger sister as a Pokémon trainer, accompanied by her trusty sidekick Buddy the Budew. I drew this for her since she still doesn't have X or Y, and has to wait until Christmas to get it. ;(

Funny story about Buddy: my sister plays Pokémon weird, as in she doesn't keep her Pokémon evenly leveled or use any semblance of a strategy whatsoever. When playing Pokémon Pearl she came across a Budew and thought it was the most adorable thing she had ever seen, so she caught it and named it Buddy. Because she didn't like Roselia, she never evolved that Budew, but still kept it on her team the entire game. She ended up defeating the elite 4 with a level 100 Buddy the Budew. :I

The picture took me forever to draw, and I had to use a reference for the pose and body proportions. In the end, I thought it turned out pretty well. My sister certainly loved it. Love you, Olivia!

Note: Sorry about the huge empty white space. I can't figure out a way to crop the picture without completely ruining the quality (I drew this using a sketchbook app on my iPad, which makes file conversions a real pain.) If I find a way to fix it, I'll make sure to update the file.

Wow a 100 lv Budew....How the heck did that even happen?! Normally, I woulda definitely evolved that thing a long time ago. Heck even if I did love Budew (which I do cuz it's the most cutest grass type ever) I still woulda evolved it into Roselia. Well I guess I'm moe surprised it got to 100 lv if anything. Strongest Budew in the whole region that guy is. ^^
